ASUS PRIME Z490-A motherboard in the ATX form factor based on the Intel Z490 chipset with an LGA1200 socket. The board dimensions are 30.5 × 24.4 cm.
The four DIMM slots are designed for DDR4 memory: the maximum capacity is 128 GB, and the maximum memory frequency is DDR4 4800 in overclocking (OC) mode. For drives, there are two M.2 slots (M Key, form factors 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110, PCIe 3.0 x4; the M.2_1 slot also works with SATA) and six SATA 6 Gbit/s ports. PCIe x16 slots: two PCIe 3.0 x16 (x16 or x8/x8 mode) and one more PCIe 3.0 x16 (up to x4).
Video outputs are HDMI 1.4b and DisplayPort 1.4. The wired network is 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet on an Intel I225-V controller. The board has no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but it has a Key E slot for a Wi-Fi module, which is sold separately.
