Gigabyte Z890 GAMING X WIFI7 is a motherboard in the ATX form factor (305 × 244 mm), based on the Intel Z890 chipset. The socket is LGA1851, and Intel Core Ultra processors are supported.

Four DIMM slots are designed for DDR5 memory: the maximum capacity is 256 GB, and the frequency is up to 8800 MT/s in overclocking mode (OC). For storage drives, there are four M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0 x4, two PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 x4/SATA) and four SATA III ports. For expansion cards, there is a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots that run at x4.

Wireless connectivity is Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and the wired network is 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek). Video outputs: DisplayPort 2.1 and USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort 2.1; HDMI 1.4 is an internal connector on the board for a display in the case.
