Samsung 980 PRO (model code MZ-V8P2T0) is a solid-state drive with a capacity of 2 TB in M.2 2280 format. Connects via the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and uses the NVMe 1.3c protocol.

Random read is up to 1 million operations per second (IOPS), random write is up to 1 million IOPS. The drive uses Samsung V-NAND 3-bit MLC memory and Samsung's own controller; it has a DRAM cache (LPDDR4 memory). The mean time between failures (MTBF) is 1.5 million hours.

Dimensions are no more than 80.15 × 22.15 × 2.38 mm, operating temperature is from 0 to 70 °C. Installation requires an M.2 slot with NVMe support — the drive does not fit connectors that work with SATA only.
